Wow... great Jag!

I love the way the SB flakes off and the yellow shows through. 8)

Never saw THAT big of a gap on a vintage Jag. Looks more like the '77 Strat I had...

My boy...

Well... man really, he's 22. I've posted about him b4, but he never ceases to amaze me! He's jamming tonight in his bedroom and I couldnt help but snap a few pics. I live vicariously through him, I wish I had a tenth of the talent. I started him on bass when he was 12, and he picked up guitar and fl...

yeah... you never know. I found a very early CS relic (1994 IIRC '56 Mary Kaye Strat) in a pawn shop last year. On researching it, I read the Keith Richards story... i forget the source but it was accredited to John Page. I'm sure there were other factors. Mine (like all of the first run) was outsou...

I've never seen the point of the whole relic thing Blame Keith Richards. He had the custom shop masterbuild him a Tele and his only complaint was "it looks too new". He wanted the reliability of a brand new guitar but the looks of his megabucks '52. Legend has it that they beat it up for ...

it actually looks like a real vintage guitar, unlike most other relics Thanks! That's nice to know, and was my intent. The thing about relics is to avoid the belt sander. Vintage nitro tends to check and then flake off between the checks. Once it's started, it comes off very easily, even with a fin...

It almost looks Dakota but I think thats from the lighting. The upper horn has a bit of an orangey/coral hue.

Hmmm... looks like you wrote the date on the pickups with a 2B pencil. I'm pretty sure Fender only used HB pencils for pickup dates in 1965. Now everything's ruined! I literally lol'd at that! Actually, I used a fine point Sharpie which I'm sure wasn't around in '65! Cowbell... I'll look for ...

Yes, matching headstocks were available as early as '62. Fiesta Red was still on the custom color chart as of '65 (when the chart was revised). It was actually a '56 T-Bird color, one of the few custom colors to come from Ford. No, I didn't use a single picture, but looked at many pics of custom col...
