Black was a good choice! I managed to get a vintage one the other day. Still haven't tried out one of the reissues to see how they compare.

Is it like pokemon? Gotta catch 'em all! http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/pinhead/411427_med.png If the vista series were Pokemon the Venus XII would be the most badass/hardest to catch. I waited ages for one of those to appear. @DanHeron - You can coil-split the pickup on the musicmaster so ...

Vista Series

Got me a Jagmaster a couple of weeks back, so I now have the complete vista series. Can't say I ever meant to get them all but they're such great guitars it's hard to resist when I see one going cheap on eBay.

Anyone else got them all?

Congrats on your new Musicmaster. The slot head tuners are the way to go. I have a 78 that is kind of red wine colored and it is bone stock except for a brass nut. Compensated saddles may be in its future though. I have one of these too! Don't see many around. That is cool!! Now on mine I can see t...

I think as a piece of rock history it's better off in a case or on a wall.

I paid £200 for my Venus around a year ago. Well worth it. It has best neck of any of my guitars. If that was the 12-string version for £400 I'd be all over it.

i have seen anpther of those weird red stained musicmasters, was that the actual color it was made? it was a stock finish from about 78-81, i think. Mine's a '78. It weighs a ton, the neck pocket is too big and the finish has orange peel all over it. I guess it's a prime example of those nasty 70s ...
