That looks like a million and one jaguar(ish) copies on the market. Do not want fender imitation of a fender imitation.

Hmmm....Aren't the MIJ Mustangs also basswood? I fail to see how these are any different than a Fender other than the country of manufacture, electronics, and the name on the headstock. You got your glossy poly neck, poly basswood body, slot head tuners, what appears to be a stamped tailpiece plate...

Although my local shop usually sells used MIJ Mustangs for like $500....I know that's not the case for everyone's area though. If these are around $300ish I think they'd be a good bargain.

Am I the only one slightly disappointed by these boring mustang/squier CV series colors now? They're as bad as sunburst/black on strats. I'd rather see some black, sunburst, shell pink, butterscotch, blonde, etc......

i would buy a francestang to make into a roseland, and then buy another francestang to keep as a francestang and only play with a black/white suit on

They probably will after Summer Namm 2012. Would suck if they shut out the U.S. for this.

Glad to see Squier putting out a proper mustang. great for others, but TBH I'm not that fussed. Whilst I'm not against basswood, I'm tired of owning mostly baswood - alder body on this for 20 quid more would have been a definite deal.

Until I see them in Europe I will maintain what I said to a friend yesterday.

"What about it? It's just a Squier reuisse of a regular Mustang."

(Once they reach Europe though... I will probably say someting else entirely...)

Yup, that was my thought when the complaints of basswood started.

Yeah, certainly not in my area. I've only ever seen one Mustang for sale here, it was new, and significantly more than $500 :P

Nope. All the listed colors are boring as hell.

But I'm boring as well. I only want Candy Apple Red.
