Tomorrow i might be picking up a 100w Geloso tube head for 750 kroner (85 pounds)
Pictures here
Geloso amp
i can see it has been modified because two tubes are replaced by smal transformers. but its made professionally. what do you guys think?
Is it worth the money?

I had a Geloso briefly around 1975. I don't remember much about it (I also had a Marshall 50 at the time) but I think it was meant to be a PA amp (it had 100v line output as well as 8/16 ohm)
My major concern was that, with the tubes that were fitted to mine, the power valve top caps were very close to the metal cover; a blow to the top could have flexed the cover and shattered the valves.

I have picked it up now and looks really good. some capacitors have been exchanged, the bottom plate is gone and the tubes are still the original ones. the backplate where you can choose the impedance ( between 1.5 ohm and 100!!) is cracked so i need to make a new one. so now i'm looking forward to plug it into a cab. need to find one...
