I bought this cool little amp to go with my Hofner Senator.

I think it is basically the same amp as this one in the video

Thanks,I just bought it on line.

The one in the clip is from 1959 like this (Link) . Mine is from 1962 with Black and Crocodile covering like this one (Link)

There are 4 different versions of the Selmer Little Giant. These are owned by James Stevenson from The Alarm

He used the Croc Skin Little Giant for some recordings on the Poppyfield album like the opening chords of Trafficking(before the band comes in).

I read an interview with Robin Trower in Guitar Player Magazine in which he talks about his Little Giant:

"I used to play through a Selmer Little Giant valve (tube) amp which had one tiny speaker in it, and I ran a jack lead off the speaker points into a small Fender. That way, I got some of the hardness above it from the Fender and all my distortion sort of smoothness from overloading the Selmer. But, unfortunately, when it came to playing bigger places needing a bigger sound, I tried running the Selmer through a Marshall, and it didn't work. When you start to wind up the wick a bit it used to start whistling; therefore, I had to break down and start all over again to get the sound I liked. But on songs like Repent Walpurgis [Procol Harum], that's the Little Giant with the Fender, and I used my Chet Atkins solidbody."

I've been thinking about grabbing one of these for a little while now. I've always said it seems fenders new greta is based on these. They still go for sensible prices on ebay.

I saw a nice Little Giant on ebay UK last month that sold for Â£267. I never see any on Ebay is the USA.Never see many of the other Selmers amps either. Were Selmers ever sold in the USA?

The Auditorium is expensive because it is a "Beatle" amp.

If you found a Little Giant it might sell for the same as this one in Denmark:

Yeah,I didn't know either till I started looking at Selmer amps.

There is a minty Little Giant on Ebay uk. It's Black and Blue like this one and it comes with a Truvoice amp cover!
