I don't think it's an EMG, since it had 250k pots... I'm seriously curious, since this pickup is fairly quiet in the Musicmaster, but any other pickup I put in there is extremely noisy.

3 core wire... might be an active pup, esp if it's as quiet as you say. I just flipped a Bernie Rico guitar to lefty for a mate and the active EMG that was in that looked almost identical. 2 core wire with extra red wire to connect to the battery.

Could be active, thought for about five seconds that it was lace sensor. until I noticed the lack of a lace sensor logo.
