Oh quit wishing , folks... You all have better chances banging a nun on a Sunday than Fender importing them to Europe or the US ..

Looks like they use the Blacktop Jazzmaster bridge, presumably to match the 9.5"/jumbo fret bullshit.

No contours, no problems. Not big on the red but the white is still lovely. HOT DAMN.

why does it have 'fender' engraved in the trem plate, when the mascis jazzmaster just got a blank one?

Fender Japan already make those trems, Fender Mexico have to outsource a trem of some sort; probably cheaper for Fender to use an off-brand one that several other companies use than a Japanese/US reissue one. These are Japanese Fender products that bear the Squier name, not regular Squiers made in the usual factories.

Is this the new Vista Series I see before me? I think there's a better chance of some of these making it to the UK than the USA. We had a rash of the '66RI B&B Jags and Jazzies a while back, remember?

I'm not saying this is a re-decal'd Japanese Fender like the Vistas, I'm saying they've probably opted to use pre-existing Japanese Fender hardware on a Japan-only Squier sold by Fender Japan, as it was probably the most cost-effective method (as they have to choose hardware to use on every Squier since Squier don't make hardware, plus the Japanese stuff is in Japan/owned by them already).

It was probably cheaper to use more generic knock-off Jazzmaster hardware on Indian/Indonesian/Mexican made guitars than it would've been to order/ship a bunch of hardware from the Fender Japan factories for the Mascis/Blacktop guitars. And it looks to me as if the bridge on these Japanese Squier Stangs is generic import fare, as on the Blacktop, to facilitate string height/radius adjustment... so a mix of things that would work best/cost less has been used and no new hardware has been manufactured or sourced.

Meanwhile it ain't shit for Fender Japan to crank out a new neck spec on the cheap. No blacksmiffin' to speak of.
