looking for new amp head/combo

I'd personally totes go for the Mustang, if it's for home practise and recording.

Loads of fx on tap for quick-n-easy goofing about with no need for pedals, lotsa great sounds, and no valve maintenance to worry about.

thinking isolated. there's always been an issue with the stock valves not being amazing, but normally a change of those fixes that. my problem is either a fucked valve socket or maybe the output transformer. normally these things just work fine. i have my mates DT and that's stock and with no issues.

it's quite a nice compact looking amp and sounds pretty nice. favourites are the 57 deluxe and the british 60's models, with a little trem and verb. plus my orange footswitch will work with it to toggle between the two presets you can pick for switching. i'm still in a sans-pedal mood, though i did stick the OCD in it and it sounds really good.

How's the recording software that you get with the Mustang II? Once I get a my new PC I want to get a recording package and will need a means of connecting my guitar to my computer and i ight as well get an amp rather than a pre-amp thingy like you get with the Line 6 Studio UX or whatever it's called.

not tried it much yet, you get ableton live lite with it and it integrates the fender software with it. i used ableton in the past and for recording demos and stuff it's alright. the fuse software is great because you can tweak everything on the amp in real time and save it to presets on the amp even download others presets. gonna see if garageband likes the mustang, you get amplitube fender edition free too.

i'm sure this is going to be an unpopular suggestion, but i love my Bugera v22. It does everything i want it to and has an amazing clean channel. Takes pedals really well. You can get one new for $380, probably less used.
