Boss FB-2

Post by endsjustifymeans »

Anyone have one? A friend of mine is interested and is curious how natural the feedback can sound.

I have one. The feedback sounds pretty natural to me, you can vary the speed in which it starts to feedback and what you do with your guitar will affect the sounds made. You can even kind of play the feedback.

Is that the Super Feedbacker and Distortion pedal? If so, I have to take the complete opposite view of Johnnyseven - I think it sounds completely unnatural, having more in common with the 'bagpipe' setting on a Casio kbd than any kind of honest-to-goodness feedback I ever heard resulting from the interplay of a guitar and amplificator.

No this is the newer pedal. It's a 3-option boost and feed backer.

Interesting, only heard the super distortion and feedbacker before, got any sound clips?
There's nothing badass about beating up women. No matter what Charlie Sheen tells you.

There isn't 3 options on mine. You may be confused about the character knob, it doesn't have 3 positions but a smooth taper between the 3 wave shapes shown by the pot.

The Super Feedbacker and Distortion is the DF2, Ends is taking about the FB2.

Well, as a booster it makes everything I play sound the same but louder - so I guess it's pretty good.

I haven't tried one, but a lot of people say they aren't great. I do know where there's one for sale in the UK used for £59.99 if I recall correctly.
I'd say get the FB-2 off eBay. Seems like fun, and it's a decent distortion. No MIJ DS-1, but alright.
And there are definitely better boost pedals out there.
