Pawn shop mustang wiring

Because, you know, in standard Mustang wiring, you use all 8 lugs...

It's just this particular use of a three-way slide switch (coil selector) where you only use 4. If you had a selector that went split/parallel/split instead of split/series/split, you actually need to use all eight terminals as well.

my luthier did on 4 lungs split-series-parallel and Neck-both-bridge // push-pull Phase off

check my wiring.

Sorry for doubting you guys on the four lug thing, I figured with how complicated a regular mustang is with using both rows, the pawnshop would be twice as complicated. I'll give this a shot.

It's funny, I bought this thing with the sole intention of trading it on the classifieds, but it's given me so much shit I'm gonna try it out for a while.

Split-series-parallel is not even close to the same thing as split-series-split or split-parallel-split. So what are you trying to prove again?

I sense you're asking this incredulously, but of course it is. You think it would be cheaper to scratch-manufacture entirely new switches than to just not solder certain lugs on bulk-purchased electronic components? You know Fender don't pay $5 a slider for Switchcrafts like we do, right?
