What is your 'go to' guitar?
Most of us own at least half a dozen but when all else fails, out that guitar comes.
What made me think about this was i've been playing a lot of guitar lately, i've had them all out. Some were expensive, some are vintage but i just keep ending up playing the relatively cheap build Telebastard which is essentially an Esquire set-up with a Strat neck.
On paper this is wrong, it is limited and quite primitive. But it seems to adjust to my playing moods, always feels comfortable and always sounds good. No bullshit: plug in and play.
What's yours?
Telebastard MKII

Everyone knows mine:
1968 Ovation Tornado.
It really is the only guitar I'll ever need. To say it's the best playing/sounding guitar I've ever owned is an understatement...it's just so vibrant and alive, sounds great unplugged-It's the one where I pick it up and can just start playing anything and I'm inspired. I can either play careful fingerpicked rockabilly stuff; tastefully using the most comfortable version of a bigsby style trem arm I've yet to see, or throw a rock and roll bar chord tantrum on it, it doesn't matter- whenever or whatever I play on it I feel like I'm 20 again and lose all my inhibitions as a guitarist and somehow just play better.

This has been my go-to since I got it; '66 Classic Jaguar. I love my Aerodyne Tele too, but this is generally the guitar I play at home, in practice and live.
