yeah I listened to his sound clips.
he's comparing his mod to a stock re-issue WRHB.
All that proves is that his humbuckers sound better than the stock ones, leaving the WRHB factor completely out of the equation.

Wait, he's describing them as actual Wide Range Humbuckers. Surely Fender are going to stomp all over him for that?

Also, website has two homepages.

The samples page makes me feel like I'm using some kind of V-Tech toy.

Never seen anything like that website.

I kinda got the impression from Curtis Novak's post in that OSG thread that Fender has abandonned legal ownership of the original model.
That's very surprising considering it's Fender but they might have felt comfortable doing that on account of the sheer unavailability of the components required to make them...

I think Seth Lover might still own most of the legal rights associated to them but that he's just not giving a shit, right now.

Being dead and all.

Posted this in the other thread, but since that waste of skin Telenator got a link, only fair Lollar does too, with some genuinely good news. This may push me over the edge into doing a '72 thinline.

Tele Deluxes usually look wrong to my eye, ugly big things, but the one in that thread is beautiful.

You mean the pickups are big and ugly? Or the guitars? I think widerangers are beautiful (which makes me even crosser the reissues sound so meh), but found my deluxe, physically, quite a small guitar.

Dunno. I meant the guitars, but now you mention it, it's probably the size of the pickguard and the pickups that's throwing me.

I reckon Telenator's customer service and relations has sold hundreds of pickups for Jason Lollar.

Whoa, nice one Telenator! See, just stick to your guns, keep on truckin', and success will follow.

It's only too bad you're clearly preoccupied with digging up a 2 year old post on the internet to settle a flamewar with a half-page scan from Corksniffer's Monthlies, or else this would be really exciting for you.

To swing his cyberdick.

During grad school I gave a few classes on social media management for an integrated communications campaign, and there wasn't much discussion about internet forums. Now I wish I had known about Telenator - I would've gladly used him as an example of "how not to" handle your company on the internet.

On another topic, I even though the website clearly says "This is not a fender product", I wonder if there is any violation of FMIC's intellectual property rights by selling the pickups with 'Fender' engraved on them.

that'll be the strong upper midrange... pretty haunting.
