Antigua Mustang with Maple Neck

Post by taylornutt »

This could be one of the weirdest and possibly rarest Mustangs I have seen. Both Antigua and Maple Mustang necks are extremely rare. I didn't know they made Mustangs in Antigua. I wonder is this is stock or parts guitar.

those antigua finishes aren't actually that incredibly rare.

no more so than any other maple stang. I would say out of the maple stangs I've seen, the natural pops up the most, followed by antigua, followed by sunburst. That has just been my experiencing browse ebay the last couple of years.

That's probably the second sexiest antigua guitars I've seen (first being a late 60s Coronado Bass II).

I owned a mapple neck stangy. Loved everything about the neck, couldn't bring myself to love the guitar it was attached to.

nooooo, I said I would not drown w/ my dog if she were drowning. My dog can out swim my ass in ice water every day of the week and if she couldn't make it, I'd try to save her, but not my jumping in w/ her.

Beautiful Mustang. I'd love to see that Maple neck with a natural body. Mine is natural (Fender Neck Amber) and I've always wished it had a Maple neck and didn't even know they were available.

Mustangs just look good. They're the best looking guitar shape in the known universe...

me too!
i had TWO of them maple-neck 'stangs at one time. one was REALLY clean and transparent red, the other one was a metallic red (might've been refin) and beat to shit.
AMAZING necks, but i just can't CAN'T bond with mustangs, dunno why!!!

might have to dig up a pic.

...riiiiiight, and i remember i also had the chance to buy a friend's beat to shit antigua/maple-neck mustang like the one in the original post, but with a black pickguard. but then he backed outta the deal (we had agreed on about $300, about 10 years ago... i was SO HOT for that guitar!) ...and then he sold it to some other guy. FUCKER!!!
