Cort Sunset I & II

Post by ultratwin »

Another guy beat me to it this morning on the TDPRI, but I'm posting a lot of the same info and an ICEY BOMB because this thing is news to some of us:

First off, I was surprised to find that it's already in about a dozen shops over here. At W930,000(about $820) for the Sunset I, it's not cheap for your average MIK, but with a set of TV Jones Classics already installed, the guitar may save a lot of work for those who want a chambered "thinline" body and gotta have both proper Filtertrons and a Bigsby. All bases covered.

Maple top
Chambered mahogany body
24.75" scale]
Set neck
12" fretboard radius
Roller bridge
Grover Tuners
Bigsby B50

The Premier Guitar NAMM gallery has a better image of that metallic CAR finish. The only difference seems to be that the production version has the B50 a lot closer to the bridge than the one at NAMM. Despite a better location for teh wobblez, the chickenhead knobs are bound to be a lot harder to reach if the Bigsby arm is in position.

Add a transparent silver English-Mount ring for the bridge pickup (darn, would need a new guard to match the rounded corners, maybe mint green?), and you're good to go.
