Squier '51 pricing.

Post by Ankhanu »

A coworker of my wife is apparently trying to sell her guitar. She doesn't know what it is, but when she described it, it sounded like a '51, which was confirmed by a photo she had on her phone.
She apparently wants $250 for it, which I think is a bit high... What's the going rate on these things these days? I was thinking $100 should be the upper range, but, I dunno their current value in the current mod market and all that.

$125 if it's black, $175 if it's Butterscotch or whatever that mustard color they used is.

It's the Two-tone burst with white guard.
Thanks for the confirmation on my instinct that $250 was simply ridiculous :P

Offer $130 and negotiate from there.

I saw one at the guitar show for $150 last year. Was tempted. Unless it's dead mint and unplayed, I think $150- $175 would be a good upper end price.

Not one on the market is as nice as mine was and I think I sold that for $125.
