Chopper middle

in other words his own designed pickups and chopper in middle.

The tones from them are pretty wild. Especially with the split bridge and middle pickup position. Very unique . I was playing it in the shop through an AC-30 and it was almost hypnotic. Playing it at home through clean settings it's just so sparkly. This thing is a really nice setup.

Apparently Billy Corgan started on a Fender Mustang. Interesting.

Fuck, I think Billy Corgan just sold me a strat
Not literally of course, but he seemed very passionate about his signature guitar, and if I see one in a shop I'll probably pick it up and give it a go when I might not have before

Oh yes. Absolutely love the sound of the Corgan signature and that's from someone who is in no way a strat guy

Normally Strats bore me, but a Corgan Strat could potentially change my mind.

Pretty cool, maaaan, would be interested to play a Strat with nowt but single-sized buckers for reals.
Corgan's statement about the Strat being some magical conduit that players can make sound "their own" is duuuuuuuum-b.. ALL guitars do that, not just the ones you're inventing selling points for.
Ditto how some signature instruments "just make you sound like the signee", utter baloney.
