Yeah about 8 at last count. Most live miles away tho and are selling gear themselves before they can buy. I don't drive so I'm not in the position of being able to do a halfway meetup either.
The guitar is good enough that I don't mind hanging onto it if I have to. the neck is amazing and the overall quality is spot on, way better that the '67 I had before. I'm only selling cos it's basically exactly the same as my 65. I just prefer the 65s colour and the A width neck. I'd rather sell the guitar than keep it but I think it's worth more than an AVRI Jag or the KC Mex Jag. especially if you consider all it needs to return it to stock if you wanted to (apart from the paint). Wunjo guitars have a Jag refin up just now for £2595. i know that's shop prices so it's different, just not £1500 different.
I don't put a lot of stock in the ' all Pre CBS is amazo" argument, (my Coronado is one of the best guitars I've ever played), but i will say both my 64 and 65 necks are the pre/CBS old style with the clay dots etc and they are overall better necks than my B+B ones. Better profile and they fell better....quality I suppose. I do think that's likely to be more of a case to case comparison than a blanket statement/rule of thumb tho I am doing a straight A/B comparison.
I know that the economy is in the shitter these days but I sold on my horror story '67 B+B Jaguar to a shop for £900 and that was refinned, routed, had newer pickups AND had other issues. The economy was just as bad then and Jags were significantly cheaper to buy in shops too.
Hopefully I catch someone I know who's thinking of buying an AVRI or something and get it shifted. I'd rather see it getting played than hanging on the wall and getting a sympathy strum every once in a while
