I've never really talked much about this guitar, but here is the recently renamed REEMCASTER:

It's a shortscale Encore Strat copy which I bought from Cash Converters for £30 about a year and a half ago. I haven't had it with me at university, but since I've been back in Halifax this weekend I practically can't put it down. The action was mega high when I first bought it, and the only way to lower it to a sensible level was by taking off the UNNECESSARILY HUGE pickup covers. When I took them off it turned out that they were in fact the only thing holding the pickups onto the body, somewhat odd I'm sure you'll agree. So they are now attached using duct tape. With comfortable action this guitar plays like a dream. One day I plan to turn it into an even more amazing guitar, but right now it plays really nicely even if the sound leaves something to be desired, and it's fun to have a guitar that I can just throw around and not have to worry about.
So have any of you recently rediscovered your love for a certain guitar?
