I hate Jags with humbuckers, but that's lovely.

Don't sell it.

(nice Bill Lawrence pickups, too).

looks like the pickguard was cut with a bread-knife. Eveything else on it looks pretty awesome though, nice score.

Thanks for the posts! the seller said:

"The guitar was customized in the early 1980s by its previous owner. The guitar has an attractive Shorline Gold Metallic Refin, Two Bill Lawerence Humbucking pickups with coil split switches, and anodized pickguard. The neck has been oversprayed, is
stamped Nov 63, has a larger profile, clay dots, and Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard. Included is the original tremolo arm and its original hardshell case"

Great score

Post by Doug »

Hey, if it bugs ya, a new pickguard is no big deal. Tort would be fantastic on the gold and would harmonize the amber headstock. OHSC! And got Brazilian Rosewood...?! Man, I think you did great...well, if you paid something less than $1K USD that's a really great deal.

My serious question is whether that's a horizontal crack in the wood on the back of the neck just above the nut, or is it a crack in the finish? I suppose if it was the wood, you'd have mentioned it

Enjoy!

Thanks! The pickguard doesn't bother me,I have to see what it looks like when I get it. it's aluminum so the black is just painted on.

It's got the makings of a nice Jaguar, but I'd want to change everything about the guard (except the lack of rhythm switch).

I like the colour, not so sure about the rest. The pickguard looks really bad imo, almost like it was drawn on in Windows Paint. But its fixable

yeah I love super customized jags like this. fenders in general actually. the guard seems like a good idea but was executed rather poorly. the speed knobs are crap. everything else about it is pretty cool.
