Finished up my Jagstang build

Post by h8mtv »

I used a Jaguar neck and a Warmoth body. GFS lipstick in the neck, Dragonfire in the bridge. The bridge is a Squier Musicmaster. I couldnt be happier with the results. I really dig this bridge.

I didnt have a black switch tip for the LP switch. I drilled out a strat tip and I think it looks sweet.

Looks sexy, nice JS. Not a big fan of that HUUUGE radio knob but given it's the only one on the guitar and there's so much black elsewhere, it sort of pulls it off.

Yeah, I am not so sure about the knob either. I had planned to use a diff knob but it doesnt fit a smooth shaft pot. One of the great things about Mustang control plates is you can change these things without pulling strings.

I quite like the knob, it's weird but fits, the whole guitar looks great though.

I like it. It looks like a prototype.

Yeah colour-scheme wise it reminds me of that '57 Jazzy prototype, but in spirit it reminds me more of Leo's IRL doodles.

Prob it's final config. The lipstick pu sounded good but the output was too unbalanced. Using what I had on hand I dropped in the mini bucker and it sounds great. Also changed the knob to that one I found in the bottom of the parts bin.
