I've been looking for a cheap Tele

I've been looking for a cheap Tele
A tele so I can spray paint it pink and fuck it up beyond all recognition.
I've been looking at the Squier ones mainly, and I have encountered a major problem...
THEY'RE ALL FUCKING SWEET!
Squier Vintage Modified Telecaster Special
Squier Classic Vibe Telecaster Thinline
Fender Modern Player Telecaster Thinline Deluxe - This one I would not paint pink, it's a beaut.

I wouldn't normally do this, but:

I just bought one of the vintage modified teles w/ the jazzy pickup and it's amazing.
it's made in Indonesia but it's on par w/ the classic vibe stuff. I went and played all of the classic vibe teles, modern player teles, and, every under $400 tele I could get my hands on and it was MILES above everything else in terms of value. All of the classic vibe stuff has pretty thin necks that I didn't get a long with while the VM was chunkier and felt much better to me. The MP thinline was cool and very much on par w/ the VM but it's $100 more expensive. And the CV thinline was nice but I hate the crazy pale neck.

For some reason the big headstock looks mint on the vintage modified with jazzy pickup. I think this is the one I'm most likely to go for, cause that jazzy pickup sounds amazing.
Modern Player..... Gibson style switching and control knobs so u can go from clean neck to dirty bridge at eh flick of a switch on a good tube amp.... a modern style bridge to make palm mutes easier.....plus p90's.......forgeta bout it

that's a damn great guitar.
seriously I've traded/played a ton of teles and getting rid of my esquire is probably the biggest regret I have. The neck is really chunky and it has the vintage frets and 7.25" radius. Everything about that guitar is really, really nice.

If you have not already taken the plunge.. I am thinking of selling the blue Esquier (again).GreenKnee wrote:A tele so I can spray paint it pink and fuck it up beyond all recognition.
