Super cheap acoustic guitar/mandolin combo pack

I know this looks crazy, but has anyone ever tried either of these? Not too horribly bad for the price or Shit City?

I must have clicked on that pack 50 times over the past few years.

I would love to try a mandolin and having an extra guitar around can never hurt. With a little work (nut, pins, etc) you can usually make almost any acousitc playable/listenable same as an electric.

I inherited a Rogue mandolin from my father-in-law three years ago; he likely got it from MF.
While it's not incredible, it's a decent instrument, playing as well as $400 Epiphones etc I've played in stores.

I'd say go for it... If nothing else, that guitar would make a great 'round the fire beater... And if it really pissed you off, it'd be fun to see burn

I have the rogue mandolin and I love it! It sounds great, it's fun to play, and it actually stays in tune! I love the mandolin so much that I'm looking at getting a Rogue acoustic guitar as a beater as I'm very badly in need of one right now. I'm about to start teaching day care groups of small kids during the summer, and also will be participating in a few festivals in the heat and around groups of small kids, so I need a guitar that can get kicked around a bit and I won't get mad if that happens. I would never bring my Taylor into these environments.

I have a Rogue mandolin and it's certainly fine for a beginner. I even managed to get it signed by David Grisman, so now I can't even get rid of it.
