lol @ people saying to change my playing style.
1) It's not like I do it often. I've done it maybe 5 times in my life but imagine if it happened on stage. That'd be bad.
2) I guess Johnny Marr should change his playing style because he's been a complainer of the switches as well
I think I'm just gonna end up using clear plastic tape. Or I could switch the switches around.

whatever one might think about johnny marr, his sig guitar is fuckin sweet. he spent a lot of time on it making sure it was a really well playing nice guitar.

I didn't think that much to the Marr Signature.... it seemed pretty bland to me. But really depends on what type of player you are. I'm certainly no Johnny. Having said that I haven't played it that much to be 100% about my opinions.
I think I'd have more fun with a Classic Player or KC Jag myself.

Knocking the Jag's pickup selector switches while playing? Nah, in my 33 years of playing (including time on stage - mostly with heavy rock bands that played a lot of metal), that's never been an issue for me with my Jags, or any of my guitars. I don't fling my arm/strum all over the place (I mainly play with wrist movement, with my hand anchored on the bridge), so I don't hit the switches from doing that. Also, I don't sling my Jag down by my waist (sorry, I don't do "rock 'n roll image" - I hang a guitar where it's both comfortable, and ergonomically beneficial playing-wise). I agree with some of the posts - much if not most hitting of the pickup selector switches, probably comes from sloppy playing.
