Fortunately not

I'm loving this Jackson, its like being 19 years old again.. all you can hear from our music room is pinch harmonics and dive bombs. Its so versatile and responsive, on the clean settings you can get some great Funk and Ska sounds. So effortless to play as well.
Everyone should own a Superstrat, it should be mandatory, its good for the soul.

The word is out!! Super Strats for everyone!!! Fran, how is the neck on the Jackson? I remember it being quite thick on the US versions, almost Gibsonish. I usually prefer a thin PRS or Ibanez style neck,

Its quite a shallow profile and thin like Ibanez necks with the lowest action i have ever seen.

Nice pickup Fran. Makes me want to dig my Dinky XL from '94 out of the closet.

Just spotted this, major GAS:

Kramer Striker. Solid Mahogany body... £199 brand new FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU.

It seems like metal guitars have suddenly died, Schecter and Jackson seem to have disappeared from the big music shops.

I don't know about that. Perhaps it's just a coincidence but it seems like half the guitarists at my university play Schecters.

 Westone Pantera!

Wow don't see many of them in the wild.

In other news I've had some weird fascination with 7 string guitars recently. No idea why as I can't manage 6 for a start!
Found a rather horrid cheap thing on ebay... (new £169)

The old RG550's were nice guitars. How/what did you do to fix the neck?

Surprisingly good quality, solid mahogany body with set neck. I put the EMGs and changed the hardware from gold to black. Now I can play TEH HETFIELDZ (not really, fucking haet Metallica).

Very nice, I still fancy a Les Paul type guitar again.

Cheated  I didn't fancy trying this one myself as the crack is closed in that first pic, when neck was under tension the gap was way wider.
I found a fella who when I told him what was up he responded "I prefer messing with the wood rather than the electrics" so I knew I was on to a good one with him.
He did a full setup afterwards, all init cost me £65  bargain.
