Brown tortoiseshell is expensive...$74 for a sheet, including shipping. So my pickguard project is on hold.
I was wondering if anyone on this forum knows someone who might have a scrap about 5'' by 4'' they'd sell me.
Thanks, mates!
Have any brown tortoiseshell scrap?

I have a scrap, but it's quite a bit smaller than that. Warmoth Brown celluloid (which looks a lot like the same material as Fender AVRI guards) is sold in 10"x12" ($34) and 10"x16" ($44) sizes. I used it on my Jag build last year since cost was a big factor.
edit: here's a couple of crappy pics to give you an idea of the color

That's it!
Thanks, Adam. This is exactly what I want and the price is reasonable.
Nice job on yer axe...

Is that the old Gulf Pegasus? I've thought that a Mustang or some light blue thing would look great with orange comp stripes. Toying with that idea for my ice blue metallic project.
EDIT No, it's the old Mobil Pegasus, still I was thinking of Gulf Team Porsche.
