No I did not. I spent my day playing a few Gibson's and then I went on the hunt for a Telecaster. Then I ran into this guitar.cur wrote:You try any of the bobkats?
I actually think the guy was serious about the Jagstang I saw another one for $900.weed_killer wrote:a guy on offset used to own it. the jag stang has to be a joke. the compstang looks good.Nick wrote:These kinds of pictures are a perfect example of why I should never go to guitar shows.
I think that mutilated stang came up here once when it was on eBay.
I remember seeing that one on Friday. Very nice faded paint. Nice Score.karmataburn wrote:Here is the Compstang

Thanks I am actually tripping out that I like it so much. The more I thought about what I was going to buy the Mustang made perfect sense. I have a few other guitars and besides my avri Jazzmaster I realized I do not have a guitar with single coil pickups. I guess the Jazzmaster is technically a single coil but it is not the classic single coil sound I was missing. I was looking too fill that hole in my collection with a Telecaster but I do not like guitars without body contours. I have a Jagstang that I hardly ever play because the lack of body contours irritates me. I will take some good photos of the Mustang when I get it back this week I want to try and see if I can get the checking in the paint to show up in a photo.blane wrote:that's a really pretty guitar. I find myself smitten by the red comp-stangs these days. Something really cool about them..
