Langtronics

Post by rps-10 »

Anyone ever had use or owned any Langtronics pedals? UK builder sells on ebay, seem to be out of the ordinary and different.

Ok so I bought a Langtronics "Bone Collector" off ebay cheap, it's a one trick pony fuzzy synth guitar effects pedal. A noisy spittly starved fuzz, with an auto-wah type envelope filter added in, maybe some lower octave too.

Works well on the lower stings so I guess it would be good fun on a bass. But overall works much better than a Blue Box and has more madness.

The box itself is arse backwards, not ergonomic in the slightest with the orientation of jacks and stuff, but nicely made.

(really) Bad AN DEMO ....

Seen it on eBay a while back, some of them having been going for silly low prices on auction and I like the demos. Might grab one.

@ 4:38 - Windmills for Doog

There is a trimmer pot inside, I may play with that to get the "sensitivity" working a bit better.

Will have to hurry up and build my Tremulus Lune pedal, that along with this pedal and a delay of some kind should be fun.

The Langtronics fella also builds something similar to this in a wah type enclosure so you can alter sounds on the fly. It's too expensive for my liking though.

Haaaha awesssssomeeee! As it turns out, I do that quite often, I just never knew what it was called! Hahaha

Cool fiiiilthy demo, mate; it sounds like the circuit is based on the Ugly Face, just with a lot less flexibility.. and a fucking odd footswitch and dial layout :/

Sorry to anyone that likes it, but I find it disgusting. I can't think of one practical use for it.
But that's just me!

Apologies for this but I just found a youtube demo where the guy uses this little mental box with a backing track!!
Gives you a better idea I guess.?. also skip the first ~4.30 mins as it's just him talking about his setup.
