Nerve of this asshole!

Post by speedfish »

Great feedback, but $850.00 , starting, for this trashed/damaged instrument is obscene. He's been pedaling this one for quite some time. Fucking A-hole!

Sorry, just needed to vent.

What's wrong with it? Buy a new trem for £30, sorted. You'd pay twice the price for one over here.

You poor bastards. $850.00 for that one is akin to subjecting yourself to a brutal act of sodomy. Doug says $600.00 is a fair price for that one and I wouldn't pay a penny more. However, I would go $850.00 for one in excellent to showroom condition and suffer no regrets.

You do get a raw deal on US guitars. Are the good Uk-manufactured guitars significantly less dear?

Maybe second hand because they still aren't that popular. Gordon Smith in particular. On the other hand Patrick Eggle and Jaydee stuff is always expensive.

$850 = £525

I would think that's about what one would go for here. There's no way one of these would go for £1k.

They were still £750-£800 new though, weren't they? That's over $1200. I don't think $850 is unreasonable for a used one.

This is the one Fender I'm into where I don't see why you wouldn't just buy the Squier version for cheaper. With the others I'd plead radii snobbery. For this one you just gotta be really into purpley sparkles.

*spies traditional tailpiece placement* Whoa whoa whoa, waitaminute...

how is it nervy and why is he an asshole?

isn't it his guitar to sell for what ever price he'd like?
plus it doesn't look like anyone was willing to pay the price

but still I don't get the angst over someone selling something of their own for the price they want

'Taint no way, that the CIJ, J Mascis Jazzy is worth $850, considering how dinged up it is, and has a lame-o JB Weld repair. I see it sold at the price. Whoever bought it is either clueless about the value of a VERY used J Mascis Jazzmaster, or desperately wants that guitar.
