I'll admit, I'm tempted. It surely cant be any worse than the noise that comes off my Vox.

Yeah there was somebody a while ago that was enquiring about these.
The construction and layout has me almost 100% convinced that it's a rebranded Hartke Piggy Back.

My brother owns one (the Hartke) and i'd say it's definitely worth the 250 bucks he spent on it.
It's supposed to be a hybrid with a lonely 12ax7 in the preamp but I think it only gets kicked into the circuit when using the 'crunch' mode.

At that price, it's pretty decent, so long as you keep your expectations on the low side.

£189 for a steaming Chinese shit heap! There are better ways to spend £189. 189 scratch cards. A single Big Issue. Enough ball point pens to last the rest of your life. A good secondhand guitar amplifier! 235.69 Euros. A set of 3 decorative Samurai swords. Magic beans. A laserdisc player. An actual white horse. 9450 2 pence pieces and sell them as copper scrap. A coffee and a sandwich at a motorway services. Some street art. Parking offenses.

Really? What kind of Vox do you have? I rather like the AC15 and AC30 tones.

Personally I think the amp is more important than the guitar in the sound equation. I would save my coins or sell some gear rather than compromise. The Fender reissues sound quite good IMO, or even something like an Orange Tiny Terror could be cool.

That's what I've done for my last three amps. Then just take it to a good tech, get it all sorted, and blam! ...your guitars will thank you.
