A set of beefy Artec rail humbuckers and black plain covers (from the ever-classy James, thanks maaan) later, and we're done. Until I get around to refinning the neck in black, that is. Maybe filling that neck pocket hole too..

Just cut a lil bit of pickguard to cover the gap, otherwise it looks awesome. Such a difference from last time I saw it.

NICE ONE, that's actually a really fucking good idea Nick; just like the 'Les Paul Special' SG:

A fuck of a lot easier than cutting and finishing a tiny block of wood, especially since I'm out of paint.

That's where I got the idea from. If you haven't got any bits of pickguard let me know, I might have some handgng about. You could even get it engraved with something, like on the SG...

Haha, that's a stage of classiness that would appear very out-of-whack with the rest of the guitar.

I actually unearthed an black pickguard and made a cover but the colour made it stick out too much and detracted from the vibe; like bolting a prosthetic leg to a homely but moderately attractive housewife's head.

Fortunately, the colour of Walls icecream boxes is pretty close, so I made one from that!

(A little squee-whiff in places, but I'll knock up another using lasers and science at some point)
