What gauge strings should I use? The scale is 24". Usually I have heavier strings on my short scale guitars like 11s or 12s but I heard that Brian May uses 8's on his guitar.

brian may also uses an old sixpence as a plectrum, wears clogs and has a fox hospital at the bottom of his garden. 'nuff said.
