Got the guitar today. It looks great! It sounds great too. It looks almost mint condition to me. No major scratches or anything. The tort is interesting. It looks brown with yellow spots, but with the flash you see a ton more. I wonder if that stuff will show better with age?

Next to my Japanese Jazzy. The Jag is a bit more creme.

Strings over the bridge look pretty straight, so I probably won't bother with a new tremolo for now.

Thanks! I notice Japanese necks to be a little thinner than my MIM necks. Maybe a U vs C shape.

Not sure if this is OCD or anything, but the switch plate is a little off with the new guard and there is a little gap in the hole where the mounting screws go in. For now, I will ignore it.

I tend to be pic heavy with guitars.

Thanks. I am going to take the guard off when I get home and try to lightly sand the switch plate opening so the plate fits more centered. One of those OCD things that bugs me. LOL

You should ignore it, that would be well OCD !!!!!!!!! I like the mint better too, but with aged pickup covers.
Like mine used to be :
Shame I didn't like the AVRI pickups and all changed again.

I will likely correct the pickguard or it will be something that bugs me every time I look at it. LOL Guitars seem to be the only thing for me that I get this way about....

I lightly sanded the switch plate opening on the pickguard and now the plate sits much more straight. Much happier.

I love both of those guitars. Vintage white is such a great color.
