Grote Guitars?

Post by Gabriel »

Based in China, they make a lot of the copies (fender and gibson branded, but obvious fakes). However they do have a few of their own designs, one of which is this seven string:

Anyone ever played one of these? This is one is particularly tempting - have no money but still.

They have some cool stuff:

Other than being 7-string, I kinda like that. Wonder how it plays/sounds...

They make a 6 string version too. Similarly affordable. They've got good reviews over on sevenstring.org (I occasionally lurk over there, despite the majority of their discussion being over metal).

I spotted that 7 string the other day on ebay, looks nice but no idea on build quality. He makes some other interesting looking guitars too, even a Kleiin type copy.

I saw the klein, very affordable too. Of course you'd have to take import tax into account but they still look like good value, they've had great reviews too. Need to get saving so I can buy that 7 string - I've always wanted one but all the other ones on the market are geared towards metal-ers.
