I wouldn't say the profile on the JS is unique - it's basicly an A-width 60's stang neck. Feels near enough to my old '65 stang A-width in comfort and playability. That being said getting non-vintage A-widths is nigh on impossible so I think so a JS neck is a good option for parts without the vinatge price tag. I'd consider it for all fender shortscales without a doubt.

all my other guitars are just sitting around for at least 6 months now

the bronco has that fucking duckbucker in it. if i had a million dollars i would put them in all my guitars and play them more.

Basically, my perfect selection is what I have:

1983 Fender Squier Japan (70s Popular Strat, bullet truss-rod, large headstock).The one guitar I'd keep if I had to give up all others. it's just the best.

1997 Fender Telecaster

Homemade guitar using 1970s Antoria LP neck and 11lb ash/mahogany body styled after a Yamaha SG 1000. Genuine SG2000 pickups.

2010 Fender Japan Jaguar - just getting used to this and loving it.

The only guitars I'd wish for are:

1. a better acoustic - I have a roundback Tanglewood electro acoustic. Nice looking guitar but sound leaves a bit to be desired, and
2. a real SG1000/ 2000.

Good to know. Sounds like a JS neck on a cooterfinger body would make for an awesome build.

Profile wise the JS neck is very small too. Like it's very small and circular, practically nothing to wrap your hand around. My Jaguar neck feels so much wider, with a flatter quality to the center of the back of the neck.
