I've read somewhere to take "log" for volume and "lin" for tone...
That's the classic combination. I usually use Lin for both, but that's because I'm a lefty and used to be easier to get hold of than reverse log.

Thanks both.

I ordered 2 Alpha 500k's (one "log" and one "lin")

If I don't like the final sound (after the new pots an some capacitator switchin'),
the stock neck is gonna go back in..

We 'll see how it goes... : )

edit: still waiting for them pots...
Anybody have a pic of a Mustang in Sonic Blue with a mint guard ?
(can't find one on the net)

Ok, little problem I can 't seem to fix...

The Dragonfire rails only gives sound at one position...

The green and black are connected to the switch (red and white together and taped off)
If I switch the wires, same problem but in other switch position

It ain't the switch 'cause it works well with the JB jr.

Any advice on this ???

fast update:

I've received and installed the 500k pots and imo it's an nice improvement
since my tone knob was at 10 all the time with the stock (250k's) ones.
Now I'm somewhere in the middle for the tone I like and can go up or down as I wish.

Only problem is I had to order 'japanese' pots (ALPS) 'cause the previous onces I ordered didn't fit the control plate
but now them reflector knobs don't fit anymore...(so back to the stock knobs or whote onces)

Have the stock bridge PU now in the neck pos. and the rails in the bridge pos. ...
Gonna play around with the pickups and see where I'll stick with (after my vavcation that is)

Ah, replaced the tort with a mint guard.
Now I have to choose which one to cut out for a full white humbucker...
The mint one is cheaper so I'll guess I'm gonna cut that one

Thanks for the comments : )

Still don't know if I'm gonna leave this one (for the classic look)
or cut it out for the full JB (love the full one a lil better) ?

It looks great. I think it might benefit from black covers though.

Good idea...
Have some black laying around but think I can only do it on the neck one.
It won't fit around the JB jr If I remember correctly
