That's what I seem to remember about all these guitars from back then too. I wasn't very good either at the time, but I remembered them standing out as horrible feeling guitars.

I miss MARS Music. They just sort of disappeared one day and all these Guitar Centers sprung up.

Our old Mars Music is still vacant. It's in the plaza where Lauren used to work at Petsmart. They only took the sign down finally last year and the letters can still be seen on the brick wall. I miss their catalogs.

I like the sparkle stratocasters from Mars Music.They had one at my friend's store but it sold for $1700.

love the white pearl, the other, I like all of it, the off center headstock, the logo, love the fret markers, even the paint. Only thing I don't like is the pick up rings, they should be black.
