Mid-2012 Squier Vintage Modified Jazzmaster Jaguar Mustang

Johnny Marr Jag has also been taken off the website.
I wouldn't worry though. The fact that they were even on the website to begin with means they are coming. Could possibly be some kind of production delay. I don't doubt that they're trying to produce a great number of these very quickly.
Or could have been another "leak" to drum up excitement. Marketing departments are funny like that. Placing new products on the website without any official announcement is highly unusual. Fender knows we are waiting with baited breath and is likely stirring the pot of anticipation.

Could even be as simple as the URL has changed to sit in the proper area of the taxonomy/navigation. I would suspect that they were test pages that went live as they had one colour only. New ones with all colour options and correct details will soon follow, hopefully with correct nut width on the Mustang
I just spoke to a local shop who I got to phone Fender GB about these and Fender said "There is no plans at the moment that they are aware of, but keep your eyes on the squier website" which he said is the usual thing of its coming but we cant offically say. He reckons they will be announced at the next lot of trade shows for launch towards the end of the year/beginning of next.

The Jazzmaster model was on the Fender USA website yesterday. I posted a link to my friend via FB. It has since been taken down from the Fender site. All that remains is what was in that FB message. I remember it listing on the site at $499. Text read:
Vintage Modified Jazzmaster® by Squier® Guitars
www.fender.com
An authentically styled Jazzmaster now joins the Vintage Modified family, with present-day touches including full, clear Duncan Designed pickups and a modern fingerboard radius. Squier's new Vintage Modified Jazzmaster has the model's most distinctive hallmarks, too - such as the dual-circuit…
Hope it's for real.

That's the response I got for last week.... and gladly not a ... They know but can't give out it seems.
I contacted our rep again today (I work in a guitar shop) and... pretty much the same answer.... they kinda seem to acknowledge they exist, but still no due date.
I definitely think it's a marketing ploy, they've even suggested this to me when I initially asked a month back. Either that or it's shambolic in terms of general organisation which could be true also...
othomas, if you read the recent squier book you can see how savy they are with their marketing and how they learnt to play the forums and certain sectors or their target market. They are quiet calculated. Now its just a case of seeing of when they arrive not if

They must have been messing about with the website as they weren't there yesterday. At least they haven't been discontinued.DanHeron wrote:Johnny Marr jag is still there... http://www.fender.com/en-GB/products/jo ... 0116400705

Found those Fender website pages for these guitars via Google Cache, if anyone wants to sniff around it…
$499.99 for both, which is about £320. (Hopefully they'll retail for £280, like the Squier Duo Sonics and J Mascis Jazzmasters do).
Squier Mustang (Fiesta Red, Sonic Blue, Vintage White*)

*No blonde version?

Yup, and now relisted properly among all the other Jags. Messing about, indeed.BearBoy wrote:They must have been messing about with the website as they weren't there yesterday. Just got this reply from Fender:
Greetings Claudine,
Thanks for writing in! We are releasing the new Vintage Modified Mustang, (540) Fiesta Red, (541) Vintage White, (572) Sonic Blue, in July. Contact your dealer for ordering information. Hope this helps!
Best Regards,
Matt Brown
