NAD/ 1969 Fender Princeton Reverb!

A few weeks ago, I posted a thread asking for assistance in purchasing some vintage Fender amps. It took me a while to find the right Princeton Reverb in the right condition, but when I did, I jumped at the chance.

The only real negative to this amp was the grill cloth being patched together from a bunch of different places, it seemed like. I didn't want to make a post about this amp until I fixed it up to the best of my ability--but here we are!

Not the prettiest job, but I did what I could without any helpers. I think I did alright for a first time try. It's not exactly the most taut or even looking, but anything was preferable to before, believe me.

I'll put the badge back on after I buy some new shorter screws that will go into the cabinet without giving me trouble.

Also recorded a really quick sound demo that doesn't sound terrific. No effects or anything, besides the amp's reverb and tremolo. Played with a Fender Jaguar with a crummy condenser mic placed badly on the floor, off axis a few feet away from the amp.

Thanks guys, I'm really enjoying it. It does sound better in person and there's a good deal more bass. I'll work on some different mic placement for next time when I try to record this thing.

Nice find mate,and good going with the grill cloth! Same principal for cabs etc...I've gotta do the same on my 62 bandmaster front...just gotta take yer time, and be methodical...

Not going to lie, it was really hard, I took about an hour and a half to do it all. Most of the problems arose from not being able to properly cut the grill cloth and not having enough stretch before stapling.

Still, I'm pretty glad with how it turned out. My friend pointed out that it's good that it doesn't look perfect, as the amp is vintage--it only make sense!
