Hankering for a green one myself... quite like the sonic blue Jazzmaster too.Mike wrote:I'll have to look at the photos of them, I'm torn between the Red, and the Green one...Fran wrote:Fiesta Red Miek?
I think i'll be reviewing my collection when these come out.
Funny how squier offsets come in a variety of colours while the CPs and blacktops come in a pretty limited range of the same tried and tested hues.
thats part of the strategy for the brands and ranges. Fender/Suier are aiming them at different groups in a way. look at the colours fender are doing for the pawn shop range, different again.markarkark wrote:Hankering for a green one myself... quite like the sonic blue Jazzmaster too.Mike wrote:I'll have to look at the photos of them, I'm torn between the Red, and the Green one...Fran wrote:Fiesta Red Miek?

Yeah, I was thinking that. If I wanted a new Fender Jazzmaster I could get:markarkark wrote:Funny how squier offsets come in a variety of colours while the CPs and blacktops come in a pretty limited range of the same tried and tested hues.
1. A Classic Player in black or sunburst
2. A Blacktop in black or sunburst
3. An AVRI in black, sunburst or, wait for it, white
So the only way I can get a new one, obviously situation is a bit different for second hand, I would need to spend about £1500 to get one in anything other than black or sunburst.
With the new Squiers it looks like we'll be able to get sunburst, white, CAR and sonic blue. Got my eye on the latter...

Mike, I am surprised you would not consider a Jazzmaster to round out your collection. Though I could see you with another Jaguar to play live so you could leave your Vintage Jaguar at home.Mike wrote:Hold on until August, Chris, it'll be worth it even if they are delayed a bit. I'll definitely be getting a Jaguar I think.
All these guitars look cool. If the Jazzmasters are as good as the Squier J Mascis Jazzmasters, Squier will be #1 in my book.

Never really got on with it, I'm a shortscale man it seems
Interesting, I've always wanted a JM but have been intimidated by the scale length. Will give all three of the new models an equal chance to impress me, though. I never got along with the more expensive Jags but enjoyed playing the Squier HH version.Mike wrote:Truthbenecol wrote: Mike had a Jazzmaster, but he didn't particularly like it. n00b.
