They were once common. You could find one on a saved ebay search at an inflated chump price of course.
Not worth it in comparison to some of the new Squiers (or Fenders for that matter) in my opinion.
I've played two. Neck and bridge pickup sounded shit and unbalanced with eachother, frets were sharp and generally a poorer fit and finish than my classic vibes. Just felt awkward to play.

Hm, thats the problem then, you dont like the humbucker with single coil? In that guitar both volume and tone should have a 500 kohm pot. really liked the finish dont have a problem with mine and the neck is one of the best ive played.
I think this has just to do with taste so nevermind.

Must be a bad experience. Mine is nice. Also some of that is a matter of taste. A JB doesn't sound shit. It sounds different from most, that's it.
I buy and sell a lot of guitars. Very few stay in my house no matter how good they are. I buy things sometimes out of impulse. I can afford it, plus most guitars fetch a good price on resale if I didn't get murdered on the initial sale. So it's not a big deal for me.

I do love my Vista Jag too, but the stock pickups were always the only slight complaint I had. BRILLIANT necks though of course though, so enjoy. Mine is a White, bullet truss rod example.
PLEASE!!!... Tell Me About the Fuckin' Golf Shoes!
So I got a pickguard made by cooterfinger and I wired up some new Dragonfire Screamers and added a coil selector 3-way switch and now, the guitar totally owns and is super versatile. I used it in my latest silly video consisting of me playing a bunch of pop songs that don't really feature the guitar:

I love Screamers. $30 for a set of humbuckers that competes favorably with just about anything out there and splits very well? There's a reason why these have become my go-to pickups for HH guitars.
