Ok dudes. Pretty goddamn happy with the loud parts. Here is a recipe for heavy. I've tried a lot of things, and so far this has been the best outcome. Never mind the piss-ass fake drums. I didnt have a drummer last ngiht.

EVERY electric instrument here was mic'd with my "not-so-secret weapon" the Shure 58 with the screen/ball removed. Interface is a presonus firestudio. Daw is Reason 6.
Step 1: "guide" guitar. Heavy fuzz, neck pickup on the Telecaster through a twin reverb. Just playing the riffs. No pick slides or bending or anything. Straight down the middle.
Step 2: "Rippin' guitars" I did one pass for each HARD PANNED track. Tele Bridge pickup, heavy fuzz, twin reverb.
Step 3: "EXTRA HEAVY METAL FUCK YOU BASS" Straight down the middle, god damn it. Mustang bass into Hair of the Dog fuzz, into Sunn Concert Bass into a 1x15 cab. If possible try to steal the rhythm/interval from the JOker's intro theme in The Dark Knight.
Step 4: Check to make sure you didn't accidentaly put any reverb on anything. If you did, remove it Quick!
Step 5: "Extra fun metal screechy guitars" Bridge Pickup, HOTDog, Twin reverb. I did one pass on the high strings, one one of just my A string. Same notes for everything, just different places on the neck. Panned "not so hard" left and right.
Step 6: Check that reverb again. (there should be none)
Step 7: MIx yr Levels. Upload to soundcloud, etc.
