Pots and strap locks came in today so I got to work. This diagram is much more goofy to wire, but I got the one slider wired up. Just waiting on the other. Even got the knobs back on the new 1meg pots. :) Should be pretty sweet.

I got her all wired up and strings on. Neck and bridge pickup sound great.... on their own. I forgot SD's pickups need to be wired reverse to Fender's. I will swap the hot and ground with the Fender pickup after I get some new strings. Looks sexy!

FIXED! Sounds much better of course. I will do a demo tomorrow. Kind of tired and have work in the morning.

Yeah, I wasn't sure but I thought the Jag-Stangs came in Blue or Red only?

Fender Jag-stangs only came in Sonic Blue or Fiesta Red.

Pickup demo as promised. :) Amplitube had trouble recording it well. Probably because the pickup outputs are so high. It sounds much better through my real twin. :)

Hopefully I won't ever want to get rid of her, but I will keep that in mind. I have a theory that while the live guitars used by Kurt didn't get the pots upped because they were destroyed so often, the studio guitars with humbuckers probably had 1meg pots. The Jag did at least, and SD's and JB's with 1megs have that clean jangle sound that hits the Nirvana clean very well. I have tried both pickups with 500k's and they were just too heavy for that sound. 1meg seem to do the trick by my ears at least.
