custom Mustang pick guard?

Post by jbuonacc »

any thoughts on custom pick guards for a Mustang?

i've never been a big fan of the stock Mustang guard and love the look of the Hagstrom II/III and my old Sears Tiesco/Silvertone guitars which can be seen here:

i'm thinking of having a custom guard made along these lines, but i'm not sure how to go about it. any recommendations as far as who to contact that would be able to do a good job of it? i have a white '65 RI and am thinking either a wh/bk/wh 3-ply or possible something like a dark swirled tort. custom pickups, switches, and wiring is another idea, but i'll think about that a bit later. some routing of the body might come into play as well.

thanks!

I used pickguardian.com for all my custom builds. Tony does great work.
