I love that color combo on a Mustang. Not what you see everyday.
What pickups did you settle on?
I keep wondering if I should get another lace sensor to match the Red Lace Sensor in the Bridge. My Comp stang currently has the stock neck pickup.

This one has Purple Lace Sensor in the bridge, Reverse Silver Lace Sensor in the neck. I wanted to make this particular guitar extremely stage-worthy, so I ended up disconnecting the slide switches entirely, and everything's controlled with the mini toggle between the pots, and that's impossible to hit by accident. The three modes are: Neck, Neck + Bridge Parallel, Neck + Bridge Series. The Bridge pickup is never available by itself because I don't really care for the whole single coil bridge by itself sound, and I certainly don't need it on stage either, so I was willing to sacrifice it for the other sounds I did want on the guitar. The parallel mode is very jangly, but otherwise, it's a very smooth sounding guitar thanks to the wiring.
I think the Emerald, Hot Gold, or Silver are all great neck pickups for a Mustang. I find the normal Gold Sensor to be a bit bland, but the other three, I've enjoyed all three in various Mustangs and think they make wonderful neck pickups. If I have to choose one, probably the Emerald.

Heres my mustang. Its a 1997 white mustang with some major mods. Its a les paul mustang basically. It has a Tune-O-Matic Bridge, a stop bar tailpiece were the vibrato use to be, coil taps were the phase switches were, Gibson burst bucker humbuckers, and a toggle switch in the spot were a les paul toggle switch would be. Everything on it is professionally modified. The pickguard was customly made for the modifications. I love this guitar.

Re: My Musical Kids
Hey how do you like your Et's? They look so comfortable to play and the offset on them is so nice.creepingfur wrote:I'm relatively new to this board - but wanted to post a shot of my offsets - 2x 1974 Epiphone ET-270s and a MIM Fender Jaguar with Seymour Duncan Antiquity 2 pick-ups and vintange electronics with a pair of there offset cousins - my Jazzmaster and my Lee Ranaldo Jazzmaster (both on the far left). The ET-270s are one of my main performing instruments and I've grown really fond of them - though I don't use the trem.

Thanks! As I wrote in another thread, I picked it up a couple of months ago when I was visiting Toronto. Got it for CAN$495 from the awesome Capsule Music.Noirie. wrote:Love that Supersonic.
It already had the pearloid blue pickguard fitted by the previous owner. I wasn't sure about it at first and was considering changing it, but then realised I loved it. Since getting home I've had Dragonfire Screamers installed, with a coil split in the bridge. It sounds incredible. I probably prefer the single coil sound to the full humbucker; I'm gonna get the neck pickup split as well. It's my favourite guitar - so cool and unique.
