Wish he would disregard the expensive guitar & amp at the same time.
Maybe go for something like Classic 30 / Hot Rod Deluxe with MEX strat or Epi Les Paul, for example.
I reckon they are being hit by the poor economy, as we all are.

I dunno, I always thought of them as a shop that specializes in the curious and uncommon side of guitar gear. Obviously that would imply that a good number of their stock is going to be on the expensive side but I feel PGS has been doing a good job demoing stuff all over the price spectrum... They just recently did a number of Eastwood, Burns and Reverend guitar demos which are all rather affordable.
