ok so i took apart an old squier strat style body . to put a diffrent guard on . and i had to break the wires that were welded to the input jack . . to fix this . should i take it to a shop . or can i attempt to fix it myslef .?
could i just heat it up on the stove and slop it on just kiddin
My Showmaster wiring is taped together. I didn't have my soldering iron when I modded it, so I taped it and it's working fine, so I can't be arsed to do it properly. Tape works!

Dude, it's seriously not "welding", you weld sheets of metal together with that, not tiny blobs of solder that melt in seconds. I do not recommend you go in Radio Shack and request a welder.

thanks again guys
Yeah, it does. It's a good idea to make notes of where things are connected before you pull them apart y'know.
See the lug to the right is connected to/part of the metal circle, the one you can see the hole in? Bare wire goes to that one, white wire to the other one.
(edited because I'm an idiot)
