Jags for life. I'm not sure I would love it so much if it was stock though, but I just tweaked to my preferences. I'm lucky enough to work in a guitar shop and try out many guitars... despite liking a lot of other guitars I would never ever trade my Jag for anything else. It's always my go to guitar, and it's the one I feel most comfortable playing, I also find it as versatile as anything else out there, or at least for the sounds I wish to achieve.

I always liked the mustang but have never owned one, despite being close to it on many occasions. I will be picking up the new Squier though, that's what I want to spend... but it's by no means a replacement. It's just going to fill that long awaited void... of just wanting one for many years.

Anyways, go with your instincts... just don't sell anything that you may regret later on. I found that if I guitar is sitting there unplayed there's a big chance you'll never really miss that guitar ever again. Worse case scenario you can buy one very similar. Every guitarist has their journey, I think it would be unfulfilling not to take it.
