I wanted it until I caught sight of the guy's bare feet reflected in the trem.

The fuck is wrong with some people.

Pfft. I despise wearing shoes. I purposely try to play shows barefoot.

It would have ruled if it had been a reflection of his bawz, though. Admit it.

(FYI, an image search for 'scrotum' calls up so many images that will haunt me forever, to the extent that my next search was for 'normal scrotum')

I haven't been able to make the trek yet and won't for another couple of weeks or so, but if anyone is inclined to check, they might have them ready to take out the door.
I was just at the emeryville guitar center on thursday and was asking about these. They didn't say anything about them being available in SF. I went to haight ashbury music today though ... and BEHOLD! One CAR JM and a Surf Green Jag. I fucking bought them both! I took public transport out from the east bay so going back tomorrow in my car to pick them up. I do have video of me jamming in the store. At the BART station now, gonna start my own thread when I get home.

Although CAR was not my first choice, happy to give my business to haight ashbury rather than GC.

I wouldn't pay more than $250-275 for these, they look kinda cheesy.

Yeah, it's because it's a jag; man they aren't supposed to look so cheap.
The sonic blue mustang though is really catching my eye though.
I think it's the tort.

Somebody tell me why I'm agreeing with this statement.

Really though, matching headstock aside I have no idea why my CIJ looks absolutely awesome while Squiguar is an affordable dalliance. Is it the Capt'n Morgan and Diet Coke in my bloodstream doing the talking or is it a matter of the plastic being too white?

well, I agree that the blue would look bettter yellowed, but the last thing I expect out of china are subtle paint jobs-- if fit and finish are there, fuck a paintjob

I think it could be that. The CIJ CAR model i had years ago always looked cheap to me but i wasn't prepared to buy aged pup covers and a different sp as it wasn't one of the 'better' players, i just sold it.

Wait until I bombard you with photos of the Jaguar draped across my dainty frame, then you'll all be slathering for one.

What's that about 'all-new' Wide Ranging pickups? Not wanting to go all Telenator here, but have they improved the design perhaps?

I saw this too. It leads me to believe they are not the same as the ones in the 72 reissue....? It has me curious.

Well as y'all prob'ly know, I didn't find these listed at any of the big online stores, so I e-mailed my sales engineer at Sweetwater and let him know I wanted 2 Jags and a Jazz ASAP! :D
White Jag, Surf Green Jag and Sonic Blue Jazz
