i use the trem lock, which is the only downer for me. still, for £250 it's hardly a deal breaker.

I read it that way too at first.

Those are cool vids singlepickup24, they got me more excited about these things. They definitely sound and look the part of the classic design.

Congrats on the double NGD, I just knew someone here was gonna pull one of those when we learned the price of these things.

wonder if it's got the wee bit routed out for it under the plate? if not it'd be easy enough to hack out with a hammer, screwdriver and half a bottle of wine.

I can see past these three "faults".
I agree. At this price, it should be fairly easy to accept them as-is, and for a few bucks more, you can mod them just the way you want them.

*******

Nice demos - thanks for posting them!

Well if they made it with the right features, they certainly would.

The problem with the current Jagmaster is it's relatively expensive, the body's too thin to accept even the most basic of hardware upgrades, the tortoiseshell is ugly and the black and white is even uglier.

The Vista Jagmaster is amazing. The current Jagmaster isn't.

Ah fuck, so busy today and there's a holiday tomorrow... sorry to those who have asked me questions. I swear I will get to them very soon. Heading out right now though...

Thanks guys, I'm glad you've enjoyed the demos. I made them just for you.

+1

I was on Harmony Central reading about Vista Jagmasters awhile back and this old berk was a guitarist of 20-odd years who'd played MIJ Jaguars/Jazzmasters almost his whole life before getting a Vista Jagmaster... the Strat trem made it the perfect guitar for him by adding more sustain/stability on high bends and he decided it was his dream guitar, swore off everything else forever. Everyone's different.

When I first saw a Jaguar I was impressed, yet at the same time had an aversion to TOO MUCH CHROME, like a Harley Davidson or something. I thought it made things look chest-beaty.
I don't care anymore cause it's all dusty and shit, more like the Queen Mary.

As long as it has those adamantium pickup shields I'm fine.

I'm interested to see how these tremolo units hold up. My JMJM unit (the same as these i assume) has suddenly become noisy.
Not played it for a week, picked it up tonight and its making a loud clicking noise which i find a bit odd. Probably be something and nothing, i'll take a look underneath if im in the mood tomorrow.

Funny thing: This happened to mine, as well, I found out the saddle for the G string was able to jiggle up and down and was clacking against the sort of rails it sits on that is part of the bridge's base.

I've never had this happen with a TOM/AOM bridge before, as the saddles themselves aren't height adjustable and there's no reason for there to be any possible movement, in this sense. Closer inspection revealed that the problem was due to the fact that that saddle's intonation screw was a little bit bent and that it was forcing the saddle up so that it didn't sit flush with the rails, so yeah... I just cannibalized a screw from another AOM I had lying around and that took care of that but yeah... That's one of the few blatantly cut corners I've found on these. At that price, though? IDGAF. I'm just happy I didn't get this problem when I was 14 and scared shitless to investigate problems like these and just put up with them for fear of messing my guitars up even more.
