Yes, I would bet this. The same thing happened to many other aged Fender/Gibson finishes... those earlier guitars weren't romanticized until the '70s, by which time their earlier and more fragile topcoats had spent a lot of time in smokey bars/houses or under bright stage lights.westtexasred wrote:I don't know why Fender changed the color from it's original "Paisley Red" to "Pink Paisley" when they reissued these guitars?
